Level 1 Options (for Level 2 click here)
Venue / Location: Courses are delivered at Edge Hill University, St Bede’s High School or Haskayne Village Hall (dependent on class sizes). The exact arrangements vary from year to year. Our course tutors will contact students seven days prior to commencement to confirm the relevant details.
Course Timetable: The Level 1 Award in British Sign Language is taught as a modular course, and you may enrol for any of the following options:
– tuition only (18 weeks), or
– tuition plus the first assessment only (18 weeks), or
– tuition and all three assessments (30 weeks)
You have a choice about which day of the week you would prefer to study. Links to the timetable for each course are provided below. Each course will accommodate a minimum / maximum number of students. All places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Tuition & Assessment Fees (for the 2024-25 academic year):
Tuition fees £270 per person
Assessment fees up to £108 per person (£20, £44, £44)
Combined fees of £300+ may be spread over six monthly instalments
